C.R. 386 RESURFACE AND WIDENING

This project includes approximately 19.5 miles of roadway resurfacing and addition of paved shoulders from U.S. 98 to S.R. 71 along C.R. 386 (Overstreet Road) in Gulf County, FL.

Plans and Specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc, 324 Marina Drive, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456, (850) 227-7200. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes. Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $25.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC.

All bidders shall be FDOT Qualified per Section 2-1 of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition in the following work classes: Grading, Drainage, Flexible Paving, and Hot Plant Mix-Bituminous Course. Completion date for this project will be 365 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $500.00 per day.

EASTERN SHIPBUILDING MOORING BOLLARDS

The project includes the construction of 16 type 1 moorings on a 20-acre site along Howard Road in Port St. Joe, FL. Each mooring will consist of a 60’ deep drilled shaft foundation, concrete pedestal, and steel bollard. The steel bollards will be provided by others and bidders shall include the cost of installation.

All utilities will need to be located and marked so that they are located after demolition.

Gulf County has received a portion of the awarded $5,915,000 funding from the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program (H.H.R.P.) to provide Housing Rehabilitation Assistance and Purchase Assistance for Disaster Funding Assistance to assist, families affected by Hurricane Michael, for approved Very Low, Low, and Moderate Income single-family housing units throughout the County.

Gulf County is currently accepting applications from Consultants, Organizations, or Individuals that are interested in providing administration of the rehabilitation strategy for County H.H.R.P. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate.
