  •   Permethrin

Product must be available in 30-gallon containers
Product must contain 2.52 lbs. Permethrin and 2.52 lbs. Piperonyl Butoxide per gallon.
Product must provide effective control of adult mosquitoes, midges (biting and non -biting), and Blackflies.
Product must be suitable for ULV applications using ground equipment for control of adult mosquitoes and other biting flies.
Product must be labeled for ULV applications up to 0.007 lbs. a.i. per acre.
Product must be compatible with injector mixing systems or other insecticide mixing systems.

  • Malathion

Product must be Fyfanon ULV, EPA Reg. No. 279-3539

The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners is seeking civil engineering services relating to the construction engineering and inspection (CEI) of the David B. Langston Drive Sidewalk Improvement Project. The scope of this project will include construction of approximately 936 LF of 5’ wide concrete sidewalk, thermoplastic striping, and minor drainage improvements along David B. Langston Drive in Port St. Joe, Florida, as identified in the County’s Local Agency Participation contract with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Consideration will be given to only those firms that are qualified pursuant to law and that have been prequalified by FDOT to perform the indicated types of work.

Response Deadline:  Friday, September 21, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. ET
Opening Date:            Tuesday, September 25, 2018 during the regularly scheduled Board meeting

This project is federally funded with assistance from the FDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). By submitting a letter of response, the Consultant certifies that they are in compliance with FDOT Procedure No. 375-030-006 (Restriction on Consultants Eligibility to Compete for Department Contracts) and that no principle is presently suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible or voluntarily excluded from participation on this transaction by any Federal Department Agency.

The Gulf County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing:

CANAL STREET RESURFACING

This project includes 0.320 miles of reclaim and resurfacing of Canal Street from US 98 to Georgia Avenue including striping, signs, and grassing.  Project is located at St. Joe Beach in Gulf County, FL.

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc, 324 Marina Drive, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456, (850) 227-7200.  The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.  Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable.  Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC. 

 All bidders shall be FDOT Qualified per Section 2-1 of the FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition in the following work classes: Grading, Drainage, Flexible Paving, and Hot Plant Mix-Bituminous Course.  If you have any questions, please call Clay Smallwood at (850) 227-7200.

 Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.  Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $250.00 per day.

 All bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening.  All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.

 The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Gulf County.
