Gulf County EMS provides Emergency Medical Services to the citizens and visitors of Gulf County.

We have an average call volume of 2,600+ calls per year, which are handled by two full time ALS ambulances located in Port St. Joe, Florida, and one full time ALS ambulance located in Wewahitchka. Staffing for our ambulances is a combination of full time and part time Paramedics and EMT’s.

We are continuously upgrading our ambulance equipment and training to provide emergency medical services in a timely and professional manner.

Occasionally, we have employment opportunities for part time paramedics and EMT’s. When funding is available, we assist local residents in attending EMT courses offered at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida. For more information on job and educational opportunities, contact the EMS Director.
